Our church had a community open house a few weeks ago, and my dad's cousin, Steve Archer came a sang for us during a concert. The pictures below are of my dad, Caitlyn and I getting a chance to sing with Steve. This was a real treat for me since I have loved listening to him and his family sing for years. I have always wanted to sing with them just once, and was thrilled when he asked dad and I to sing with him. Caitlyn has become a fan as well within the last few years and knows many of his songs as well, so we made her day when we asked her to help us. COMMERCIAL! Caitlyn, Annie, Jesse, Breanna and Sidnei singing a special at church a couple of weeks ago. This was Caitlyn's first time to ever play the piano in front of other people. She did a great job, even if it was only one finger playing!  

Hunting season in Wisconsin
This is a very typical sight around town during hunting season. The parking lot today was full of cars that looked just like this. We still haven't grown used to this even after 6 years.

The Rainforest Experience
This is my "illegal" picture of Annie, Caitlyn and Camryn at an environmental show we went to the other night here in town. This man brought all kinds of animals that you would find in the Rainforest, such as monkeys, alligators, birds, and a very large snake. Needless to say we sat in the highest section as to not be close to these lovely creatures. This was a close as I got to this monkey, but Annie did pet an alligator. They didn't want me to use my own camera, they wanted me to pay them 5 bucks for a really bad polaroid. I offered the five bucks for them to keep the polaroid and let me take my own picture and they said no. As you can see, I don't listen very well.

A family photo taken by one of the parents at the soccer banquet! This was the first year for Sonny as head coach for the HighSchool soccer team. They didn't win many games this season, but it was a great year for team building.

The First Snow! UGH!!!
Well as you can see it snowed yesterday. (Nov.10,2006). Not that this is anything unusual in Wisconsin, but the two days before that it was close to 70 degrees each day. I even washed and cleaned my car. Then yesterday we woke up to this! I have to say this is the earliest we have ever gotten snow, since we have lived here. Most of the time people are just praying for a white Christmas.

Halloween 2006! More Halloween pics! Caitlyn had a Halloween party earlier in the month and dressed up like "her sister", but on Halloween night she decided to be a "Hip Hop Singer". Camryn just thought she could wear her costume to school everyday. She had no concept of that holiday only lasting for one day.

 

 

 

We took a trip to see Baby Mia (a couple of weeks ago) with the kids this time. They were already aware of the no children in the NICU rule, so they weren't even expecting to see Mia, but when we got there, Annie went in to see her sister and just opened the curtains to the nursery. Nobody said anything, and the kids were able to get a clear shot of Mia in her isolette. Below is a picture of Camryn showing us just how little Mia really is and I think maybe Caitlyn was sleep walking :)

The Last Show!

This is a picture of the girls I coached in the colorguard at their last performance (football game). The uniforms are normally very cute despite the turtlenecks, but it was 16 degrees at the last game and the extra clothes were a necessity.

Halloween Party!
Caitlyn has been wanting to have a Halloween party for several years now and, well frankly I just didn't feel like going to all of the trouble. So I scored big points this year when I let her invite a few friends over for a party. They had a blast! They played games, painted pumpkins, ate carmel apples, decorated Halloween cookies and had a sleep over. She didn't even mind that her busy bee of a sister hung out with them:)

A Weekend Getaway!
Sonny and I were able to get away a couple of weeks ago to Chicago. What a beautiful place. We had a great time there. The weather was just perfect too. The pictures below look alot better if you enlarge the image. Hope you enjoy.
